Anticipating Bob Lee's Testimony
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, April 24 2012 @ 01:25 AM EDT
In re-posing my own questions in the parent comment I seemed
to have anticipated Bob Lee's testimony of Week 2, Day 6 .

Bob Lee Takes the Stand Again:

Bob Lee: Sun intendend TCK to be open standards. The JSPA
prohibits them from preventing companies from doing stuff.
This was going fine, up until Apache came along....
...

Google: These licenses - as a software engineer - can they
be applicable to API packages?
Oracle objection.
Judge Alsup: Is he an expert witness?
Google: No, he's not.
Judge Alsup: I think this is specialized knowledge.
...

Bob Lee: Certainly that's the whole point of ...

Judge to Google: Uh uh uh - you can't say that! [Judge
lecturing Mr. Lee.]

So, will -- or should ? -- Google's lawyers call an expert
legal witness to answer the questions that the Judge feels
Bob Lee is not qualified to answer regarding the terms of
the Java Specification Participation Agreement(s) ( JSPAs )
??
