Why would anyone believe Florian any more?
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, July 29 2012 @ 09:46 PM EDT
Well it's been pointed out that lazy journalists who don't have sufficient law
experience will be put 'in awe' of the legal jargon and prose that Florian
dishes out. Combined with tight deadlines, many journalists will simply choose
to quote Florian in detail.
This works well for Flo as he is paid to paint a negative media image, which is
why he writes a continuous stream of articles with negative sentiment for the
mainstream media to quote.
If only the media would pick up as much from Groklaw to get the balanced view.

Speaking of which - I trust we will have daily courtroom transcripts like we did
in Ora V Goog, with PJ's commentary.. that was such an entertaining month !!

You are partisan, but want to appear neutral
Authored by: Winter on Monday, July 30 2012 @ 03:28 AM EDT
Therefore, you look for a "neutral" source that just happens to
support your partisan position (ad dollars, whatever).

People seem to have stopped believing the "taxi driver told me", or
the "unnamed sources". So they go to an analyst that delivers paid-for
"neutral analysis".
