“Zynga’s design choices, animations, visual arrangements and character motions
and actions have been directly lifted from The Sims Social."
It'd be a little more comforting if EA wasn't kicking Zynga while their down,
and if EA's statement didn't appear to be an expansion of copyright or they
weren't trying the matter in the court of public opinion or at least the media
weren't trying to do so.
What was that about turning to intellectual property lawsuits when your business
model is failing? Check out their stock performance go back through 2007 and
the last month.
Notice EA hasn't said anything about losses as a result of Zynga's purported
infringement (I found and read the complaint). Wasn't there a recent lawsuit
involving 'The Gods of War', where it turns out the plaintiff was trying to
claim ownership of ideas?

Note the lack of case number, it would appear this was fed to the public by EA.
All the pictures in the link you provide are in the complaint.
