That is factually wrong.
Assange broke British law when he fled and entered the Ecuadorian Embassy.

Well, actually the US seem to have all the ingredients for a fair process.
Not only does the US authorities have the right to detain anyone they like
(Patriot Act, and I think at least one federal official needs to have thought
the name of the victim and terrorism at the same time, same time being defined
as in the same day.)
They also got secret National Security Grand Juries, at least that's what leaks
in Australia suggest.
And they do tend to view their laws to have extraterritorial jurisdiction, at
least when convenient.
