I think PJ has been kind of waiting for this shoe to drop....

It certainly gives Google a strong incentive to attack these patents...

Parent made some excellent arguments, and, if I understand correctly, Google is
now directly affected through this effectively indirect route. Apple has targed
<b>Samsung</b> over Android, but a declaration of infringement would
only affect hardware vendors selling handsets with the software. If Google were
tied to Android, only, then Apple might be able to postpone any need to face
Google directly. With Google now owning Motorola, however, a judgement that
Android infringes would directly affect the Moto business.

Is my understanding of this correct?
