I did a count, and Apple has been involved in 99 lawsuits in the Eastern
District of Texas alone since the start of 2006. They just lost one to the tune
of $368 million or so (VirnetX, FaceTime, and they're going for more infringing
Apple products).
At some point the shareholders might rather see the money going toward dividends
in particular when the Market Cap is drooping. The current rate of patent
lawsuits may be unsustainable, even for Apple.

i love the interwebs. anyone with a keyboard can type anything as if they have
any real experience running a multi-billion company. the simplistic approach
taken by this poster simply reveals ignorance and immaturity. stop posting.
the
interwebs are getting full.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
