Sorry PJ, you may be tired. The newspick
EU Parliament rejects UN web control from news.techeye.net says
Pirate Party founder Rick Falkvinge reports on his blog how
the
Pirate Party MEPs Marietje Schaake and Judith Sargentini, both from the
Netherlands, played a central role in raising awareness, resistance, and
drafting
the resolution - which passed with a majority.
Falkvinge's own blog
says The resolution , which was passed
with a
large majority, included Members of European Parliament (MEPs) from all major
party groups, and the Pirate Party’s
Amelia Andersdotter had been playing a central role in its drafting,
together with MEPs Marietje Schaake
and Judith Sargentini
from the Netherlands,
Sabine Verheye and
Petra Kammerevert
from Germany, Ivailo
Kalfin from Bulgaria,
and Catherine Trautmann
from France.
Notice the comma at the end of the clause
identifying Andersdotter's role, separating her as a member of the Pirate Party
from all the others. So it was a
staff writer at techeye.net that made
the mistake. It's a worry when errors like this propagate unquestioned across
the net at lightspeed...
