You mean I'm supposed to
use that third pedal? It is perfectly possible to drive a manual vehicle (with a
direct link from gear lever to gear box) without using the clutch - as long as
the road speed matches the engine revs via the gear you want to use it will go

Middleware is language, while the OS is concept.
Letters, Words, Sentences, Grammar are all parts of middleware. What we do when
read/hear/conceptualize them is the Operating System. IOW. I hear
"jump" jump is a middleware command but I understand that somehow in
order to jump, I must provide sufficient force through my legs to propel my
entire body in some direction. My body figuring out what to do with
