No one is saying the Earth will be destroyed by global
warming. The Earth will be just fine. Humans might not be so
lucky. If the climate of the Earth changes a significant
amount, there will be areas where people are currently
living that will become severely different. Think Florida is
hot right now? Add another 10F degrees on top, and its not a
great place to be. At the very least there would be cause
for a large redistribution of civilisation which would be
expensive, prohibitively so for some countries.
Saying 'humans have come through it before' is meaningless,
because humans haven't had such massive settled populations
and infrastructure before.
But if you seriously think that the Earth will react to keep
humans alive... then there is nothing left to talk about.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
