So we caught the guy....this helps save lives how?
Time for much better customs...do you think the guy was a loner by
choice? Would things have been different if an NRA member had taken
him under his wing?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

There is no way to tell if any school employee is good or bad. The original
hiring process is supposed to give some information in this regard. Are school
boards to continue investigating their employees for years or decades after they
are hired?
A well regarded teacher in a school I went to, taught hunter training among
other things. A trip to a rural area camped overnight was part of his program.
He didn't try to bugger me, but he apparently over the years buggered other
boys.
What if he became an assistant principal?
Sorry, the odd success is not justification.

1. He caught him OUTSIDE the school, isolated. NOT in the
school in the confusion.
2. He didn't fire his .45 - thankfully this kid wanted to
live.
3. Just as you can find the odd story where NOT wearing a
seatbelt saves lives, you can find anecdotal evidence of a
lot of things. The question is, statistically, which is
more likely - that joe random with a gun would save lives,
or end up costing more lives?

'Islamaphobia'
'Jihad Watch'
'children under their car[sic]'
I can't help wondering about the agenda here.

I just thought it was an uplifting story.
A brave, foresighted man, saves children's lives.
What's not to like about the story?
