Is there really any witness in America that isn't coached?

Expert witnesses should be paid by the court, costs to be recovered from the
expenses awarded against the losers, or shared between both sides at the court's
direction.

Unless they are foremost "officer's of the court" they are unlikely to
behave as experts.

I'm not in the US and whilst I can see the need for some time control, one side
should not be allowed to waste the other side's time in the way seemingly
referenced.
