Let's say the phone is an AT&T. Afaik they don't operate over here, so
tough, you can't get them to do it.
Alternatively, let's say it's Vodafone. Vodafone UK won't have the codes to
unlock a Vodafone US phone, and more to the point, won't be able to get them.
Sorry.
Still, one only has to go back to my first BT mobile, where not only was the
phone locked, so was the SIM. So when the phone broke, the whole lot was
useless. But that was about ten years ago, or more.
Cheers,

Buy an unlocked multi-band phone in the UK and one of the many free or very
cheap pay as you go sims. Some years agod mine cost the equivalent of 28 dollars
and will work anywhere in the world (it's a Samsung). It would cost about two
thirds to half that today.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
