Monsanto seem reluctant to divulge information to bystanders. If you
are a grower wanting to buy Roundup Ready(TM) seeds you first
apply to Monsanto for your Technology Stewardship Number.
Then you get a document to sign which permits you to buy the
seeds from authorised sellers. I cannot find what obligations there
are on silo operators in respect of the progeny of Monsanto's seeds.
But anyone who signs the Faustian pact, can buy seed to plant
only from authorised sellers, and we know Bowman did sign.
I assume his silo operator did not have the technology license
referred in the fourth para of Section 4 in the Agreement below,
because if he did he would either be an authorised seed seller, or
would have an obligation to warn purchasers not to plant.
Oh, Monsanto can go to your ISP to verify your identity.
