If an individual did it, they'd be told to show up with a
toothbrush. A corporation does it, they're told to bust out
the chequebook.

I guess they'll write off the fine (if they ever pay it) as a
business expense.

Excellent point.

Why is it NOT routine for as company fine to be applied partly
to the company (ie, the shareholders) and ALSO to the
whole board (based on their salary and bonus for the period of
the offence)?
