Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this simply changing something from
"opt-out" to "opt-in"?

Third-party cookies are not nesseccary for banner-ads to function, are they?
They're only needed for the "sell lots of data about people to other
companies" sideline that most banner-ad companies have?

When default is to block, and I have to *choose* whether to allow or not, how is
that limiting my feedom to choose my own online experience...?

Only a corporate spinmeister can say things like that with a straight face.
