Seriously. Would they admit that, this early in?
Not likely.
They wouldn't want to Osbourne the product line. There is always
some hope that
they can pull something off, to take some market share.
Personally I
don't think that they will be able to manage. As I commented on
another
Newspick, there's a huge drive towards inexpensive right now due to the
ongoing
Recession and lackluster Recovery. Microsoft's top end tablets just
aren't
attractive.
Apple's iPad range is less expensive, and more capable.
Android tablets are also
less expensive.
You can't take market share
if you don't understand the market, and Microsoft
doesn't understand that
people won't spend money that they don't
have.

I could use a Surface RT as somewhere to set my Android tablet, but then again,
I could just use the table.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Something I noticed on QVC-US, QVC-UK, HSN, and some Australian TV
shopping
channel, was that none of hosts presenting systems with windows
were enthused
about the product. It did not matter which version of windows
was installed,
their enthusiasm was at best, lackluster. (It is pretty bad when
a host known
for tech incompetence is visibly dissapointed in what the
system can do, and
almost says on air, that it is a bad deal.) [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
