IBM's 618 Exhibits, as Filed in 2006 in Support of SJ Motions
Here are IBM's 597 exhibits [PDF], later supplemented by IBM to total 618 exhibits, in support of its various
summary judgment motions filed in 2006 in SCO v. IBM with links to the motions they each support. This is the final and complete version, with all the exhibits as filed by IBM. The summary judgment motions are still pending in U.S. District Court in Utah, having been put on ice by SCO seeking protection in Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2007. Presumably they will someday exit Chapter 11, one way or another, and these motions will be back on the front burner.
There is a bit of history here. All of the exhibits were filed with the court on DVD, because there were too many to attach in paper form or even as separate digital attachments. That was a first for Groklaw. So working as fast as we could to make the information available, at first we did a version of the exhibits list by simply linking to any documents on the list that we already had in our collection, for the sake of saving time.
Later, we separated out from the DVD, which we obtained in person from the courthouse, all the exhibits we didn't already have.
For the sake of historians, we have included both the original links we began with and the exhibits as filed by IBM. Note that some of the links may over time not resolve, given the usual churn of the Internet, which is precisely why we have done this version from the DVD.
This is the result of quite a group effort. To review the history of all the versions Groklaw produced, all of which we have retained, it started with an anonymous comment on IBM Filings - Redacted Declaration of Todd Shaughnessy.
This comment was reviewed and completed in The IBM-835 Exhibits - Updated - Done,
then turned into a table and transcript as IBM's Greatest Hits: The Summary Judgment Exhibits,
then again turned into a cross reference chart.
Then IBM added 21 more exhibits, attached to three declarations
[774] [article],
[827] [article] and
[880] [article].
For completeness we added the Table of Summary Judgment Motions which appeared here. But this page is the one to go by, as it reflects most closely the version as IBM filed it.
Note that this page, in addition to the exhibits, also provides a table of all the summary judgment and partial summary judgment motions and a table of abbreviations used.
