I'm not a Java expert, but I wouldn't have expected a great flow

IIRC Sun insisted on the assignment of the copyrights in exchange for... in
exchange for...
Well you need to go to Sun's website to find out what rights the author got in
exchange.
Oh yes, Oracle accidentally deleted that and the document(s) they claimed Google
copied from.
It's all right though, you can trust Oracle to republish all of the important
legal stuff on their new website without any editing.
Except for the bits they edited and put into the court submissions.
