Ok, I think I see what you are saying. The
document itself cannot
be replicated, but the contents can.
Correct? Not if the content
is unprotected
elements like names or its an independent creation of the
content by others. Some things can also be only expressed in
limited
ways.
If so, what if that blueprint is a painting of
the 3 bedroom
house ( in architectural form :))?
It would not stop the creation
of other paintings of 3
bedroom houses. You could prevent the copying of the
original artwork.
In other words, how is art protected? At what
point does a cad drawing become art? Does it require a proof
if uniqueness?
Im not sure a cad drawing can
be art. I could create a cad
drawing of a half inch bolt
that is 4 inches long with a standard head. Should
I be able
to stop others from creating a cad drawing of a half inch
bolt that
is 4 inches long with a standard head? No.
can a unique arrangement
of words be posted
publically and also be protected (article, book, song
lyric)? Yes it can.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
