After all... Terms Of Service are really nothing more then Contract Law -
minus one party being able to alter the terms of course.
So if someone is
in breach of the terms of a Contract, they should also face prison time. That
includes the high-level Management of any Company who is in breach of Contract
terms.
When you think about it, if the Law is going to be a applied to a
party to a situation where the party must "take it or leave it", it is certainly
more appropriate to apply it to a situation where both parties to the agreement
have control over the terms of agreement.
It makes far greater sense in a
Civilized world where you punish someone with criminal time for a breach of a
term they themselves authored then it does to punish someone with
criminal time for a breach of a term they were "forced" to
accept.
Preposterous you say?
I totally agree: The existing
suggested "corrections" as well as the Law it applies to is even more
preposterous then the above because it's only expected to be applied to the
"commoner".
However, it would be rather amusing to see all those
Politicians who are in breach of Terms Of Service without evening knowing
it face prison time.
