"I should be able to just tell my computer to print my boarding pass
for my flight to
D.C.," he said, "but right now I can't."
Now, is
that operator error? or american airlines having a TSA moment? My computer can
print my
boarding pass, but then I'm not in US, and I don't run Windows.
Meanwhile in other news the
company keeps growing on vapor “We’re
driving toward exciting launches across the
entire company, while delivering
strong financial results,” said Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer
at
Microsoft. “With the upcoming release of new Windows 8 PCs and tablets, the next
version of
Office, and a wide array of products and services for the enterprise
and consumers, we will be
delivering exceptional value to all our customers in
the year ahead.”

Anyone else worried about their "file control on other people's
computers" or is that such old news that no-one is making a fuss about it
anymore?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

But Ballmer comes across as especially wifty in these press
posturings:
"Windows Phone is really a platform."
"Windows 8 is Windows energized," referring to 'live tiles'
their TV ads tout as critical to keeping tabs on your
friends.
"You can't completely control the device, so we've developed
information rights management," with no indication why such
a thing would be any more successful.
Such insights, so freely offered; this must be why Ballmer
gets paid the big bucks. Blowing smoke much, Steve?

It was supposed to read "Litigation, mobile and windows 8".
After all, that's what they do isn't it?
As for not.copying anything for wp7 , perhaps that's why people are
not buying it?
They have certainly been accused of copying a lot in the past
From Xerox, from Dr dos, from apple etc etc.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
