Let me fix that for you.
Your example used "max (int a, int b)".
In that case order is irrelevant, but in the case of"
substring( string source_string, string test_string, boolean case_sensitive),
order and type is very important.
So you couldn't write something like:
substring(im_an_int, source_string, test_string)
or even
substring(test_string, sourcestring, bl_false)
and expect the function to work. The argument Oracle is make is foolhardy, and
despicable. If I didn't have so much respect for the written word, I'd place all
my Oracle books in the fireplace tinder box to be used as fuel. They will never
