Someone should mention to Larry that Oracle didn't take a license to
the API of whatever language Oracle RAC is written in.
Oracle is
not arguing that you need a license to the APIs of java in order to write a
program in java. They are claiming that you need a license to the java APIs to
be able to create an independent implementation of those APIs so that other
people's programs that were written in java will run on your implementation. I
am not arguing that they are correct, I am just pointing out the difference
between what they are arguing and what you are comparing that argument to, as
