Sir! I never said that I hated Java (I just might after
this trial is over though.) I said that I disliked Java.
However, I do like coffee. ;-)
It seems that all programming languages cause frustrations
on different levels. I guess it just depends on what one
really wants to accomplish and what one is willing to put
up with.
One of the things that I did not like about Java is that
you had to depend on a Java vendor's "machine" to run your
program. Conceptually, I found that to akin to having
to have an interpreter on any computer I wanted to run
the program on. Using compiled languages eliminated that
middle step. Once compiled into executable code, the
program would run on similar computers that had compatable
Linux distributions. I like independence.
