Because what could be more attractive than the ability to run
IE on a cellphone?
They are using the fact they have no market share to leverage
themselves into maintaining that lack of market share.
Go, Ballmer!

What is the EU penalty likely to be for a 'repeat performance'? Did not MS give
the EU certain assurances about such things? There could be a massive fine
perhaps even triggering the 10% of global turnover and other penalties. The
enforcers there have very sharp teeth and powerful jaws. They are not afraid to
use them.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

The MS market share in this market is just simply not there. If they do the
lock-in expected it never will be either.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
