Are you of the view that we should throw out all of the last 30 years worth of
software and start again? A clean slate as it were? Because most of that
software will have at some point borrowed API's from others. This doesn't just
affect new software it also affects much of the software we use today.

What about the competing C compilers and c libraries. None of
these would have been able to be created if the api's were

How do you define an API? Because from where I stand, a document formal is also
