A big thank you to the jury in this case. A computer
science degree takes 4 years. As a jury you were thrown
into an almost impossible situation. The way all of you kept
asking questions over and over showed a real desire to
understand the tech. This was the longest civil trial in
Judge Alsup's career as a Judge and it must have been
difficult. The sacrifice, time, pressure, and dedication
are beyond my comprehension. I hope now that you can take a
big break. Later if you really want to know what Oracle was
attempting to do, come back here and we would be happy to
answer your questions. The Judge has said that it is ok to
talk about your service (or not talk). This blog started by
Pamila Jones is the perfect place to talk to the geeks that
understand code and at the same time get answers from
lawyers and paralegals who understand the law. Several
members of past cases have written to Groklaw to ask
questions. I appreciate your service. Many of us here would
be happy to tell you why from a technical perspective you
made the correct decision. Thank you again.
