Talking about a major flub on the part of the school.
Youth is a time for learning, not being punished. I was figuring it was a case
where a possible teaching moment was lost and instead the student was punished,
rather than guided to a better solution. Turns out the video was for a school
project.

created a substantial disruption to the school"
I'd say the
likelihood of the greater disruption was that the school decided to "suspend a
student for completing an assignment".
Come on Mr. Gerstenlauer: take
responsibility for your actions, learn from them and try not to act so rashely
in the future.
