The only reason that I could believe Motz could be so misguided was that you
reported it.
It is the court reporter who will be hoping for good marks.

As one who has also reported on a trial, I think you're setting a higher
standard for yourself than I did. I knew I was going to miss lots of things,
but I wanted to give enough to give the high-level picture and some of the
details. I wasn't going to get every detail.
But you're a very professional person (at least, that's how you seemed to me
when I met you), and you may be applying professional standards to something you
are doing as an amateur (unless court reporter is actually your job...)
Summary: Don't be too hard on yourself. Nobody else expected more than you
delivered.
