Whether a description or a definition, whether any
material
following the established norms of mathematics and/or
computations theory, the
algorithms themselves define and describe a process.
That process is imaginary
or theoretical until the steps in the algorithm are
executed.
This
is not how the relevant math works. The description of the algorithm is made of
formulas which are series of symbols in mathematical languages. This is not the
algorithm. What you call the process is the algorithm. This is how
mathematicians define this term.
Mathematicians makes it clear that this
process is intended to be executed. When you execute the algorithm you are
actually practicing mathematics in the same sense that when you are doing some
pencil and paper arithmetic calculations you are doing mathematics. In fact, the
procedures for doing arithmetic calculations are examples of algorithms. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
