because it is derived from known rules and operations. There is a finite set of
valid programs. All can be "computed" and known a priori. Therefore,

Are you saying that you're the first person to use a computer for the purpose it
was designed for?
Sorry for being facetious, but that is EXACTLY what software patents are!
Patents on using a computer for the purpose for which it was designed.
