them even when they are wrong. If they could all agree we could just take to
opposite advice, but their predictions are all over the map letting us pick the

Weather forecasters have learned to live within the bounds of their chaotic
models which is why you never get specific forecasts more than a few days ahead
in the UK, can't say the same for economists.

No, the joke is:
If you laid all the economists in the world end to end,
they would all point in different directions.
It's one of the few subjects you can study for decades and
wind up knowing less than you did at the beginning.
