Y'know, funding research is tricky. And, overall, for the
projects I've seen, BG's foundation does at least as well as
most government agencies. Probably better.
Sigh. Seriously. One guy got funding for a chicken cannon.

The biggest thing to understand is:
It's investment opportunities
expecting a potential return profit masquerading as a charitable
cause.
Leaves one wondering how the taxes are calculated and if Bill Gates
managed to achieve two goals with the one tactic:
Pay less taxes thereby
taking more home
Present a new public image
