This is the first vapourware I've seen from MS for a long time. It's long
overdue. MS used to come out with vapourware on an almost quarterly rate.
Also, when I saw the article, I thought first of the Tegra tablets which come
with an optional keyboard "case". The main difference being the MS
tablet is locked into this keyboard case, whereas the Tegra is not. The only
reason I'd buy a tablet is to have the option of having the reduced footprint.
Otherwise you're just buying a netbook, which is what the Surface is.
MS is so far out of it, they either don't know, or are intentionally distorting
(not unusual), what a tablet is. They have "developed" a netbook and
are calling it a tablet, and will charge the premium that tablets command, plus
the added cost of the keyboard.
Why not just get a netbook and save a bunch of money? After all most tablets are
simply netbooks minus the keyboard, and other features.

M$ is famous for it.
Not to say it is, but don't necessarily believe M$ demos.
