You want to use that system as your desktop, when dealing with
Comcast/Xfinity/whatever they call themselves.
For some reason, they insist that you reboot your desktop, every time they
meddle with the cable-modem/router. Their call center managers appear to have no
qualms about reps staying on the phone for 1+ hours, during a system reboot!

I thought the topic was "Why move to something that has no
future, and the desktop has no future as it is already being
replaced with sphones, tablets and laptops"...

Mind you, it's got 2 SATA host controllers, 1 SAS host controller, 4
external 4-disk SATA port-multipliers, and a total of 28 hard disks and 1
SSD.
Well, I was referring to a desktop computer, not a data
