How Red Hat Decides Which Open Source Companies to Buy
Authored by: IANALitj on Saturday, June 30 2012 @ 09:22 PM EDT
There was an old joke about advertising agencies that their assets went down in
the elevators every day at 5 PM.

In the software field, much the same applies, except that the assets are much
more likely to be working late, perhaps even all night.

(Yes, I know that software companies sometimes have established products,
trademarks, even copyrights and sometimes patents. But I contend that the same
principle applies.)
