I should have said SFLC is Eben Moglen, who provided legal
counsel for the GPL3. If he is of the opinion that FSF could
require Ubuntu to disclose their private keys, then I trust
that opinion more than I trust a whitepaper from the FSF
which says that they can't imagine why they would require
disclosure.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Do you have a URL for what the SFLC told Shuttleworth? I know what
Shuttleworth said, but I notice he didn't say explicitly which key would
have to be disclosed. And that's an important bit, in my example where I'm not
distributing your modifications I'm sure the SFLC would say that your source
code would have to be provided but that's not the same as saying that I have to
provide it. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
