Yes, well, I have always had doubts whether it is any good
to just go ahead and call things something else than what
its proponents call it just to make a statement. I fully
agree with the statement made here, but it alienates the
opponents in the debate and makes it difficult to maintain a
civil tone and a mutual sense of respect. To prevent them
from owning the words and tilting the arguments in their
favor, I find it more constructive to point out, constantly,
why the term is wrong than to just rename it without
comment. DRM is an acronym that lends itself a lot better to
being spelled out with R meaning "restrictions". I guess
they picked a better term (for them) with "secure boot".
Orwell again. Own the words, and you own the minds...
