Mmmmmmm... Curry...
Unfortunately, most of my family don't like it, so when I get the chance (not
often) I have one with my brother-in-law.
We've just had a major run-in over that - my daughter's getting married in a few
weeks, and the groom wanted to take the men in her family for a stag. The
suggestion of said brother-in-law was a curry followed by a beer. Great, I
thought, but carefully didn't voice my opinion too loud.
Kick off one $DEITY-ALMIGHTY fuss. Bride's grand-dad says no way is he going for
a curry. Just wants a quiet beer. (Groom's not that keen on curry either.) Not
sure what my other son-in-law-to-be thinks, but everybody weighs in on his
behalf saying he won't want to come 200 miles just to go to a pub in the
village.
Someone suggested my other brother-in-law's favourite night out - down at
Crayford Dogs - but that's caused a load of ructions too ...
Wedding politics - it's a nightmare - and this rant started all because someone
mentioned curry! :-)
Cheers,
