Are you referring to the 190* Proof FUD spiked iKoolaid
Apple's Tim cooks up? Because if you're drinking that high
test stuff it'll affect your vision and brain! ;-P ...you can
even go blind drinking too much like some Uber Fans!
Seriously though, just to add fuel to your fire water,
Microsoft still makes higher a percentage of profits than
Apple (barely but still more). That might be because they
don't make or out source the production of PC's. I might also
add, that they are getting ready to launch a major version
rewrite of Windows. Because unlike Apple, that still only
incrementally adds minor changes to OS X, Microsoft dumps
major portions of code for a full version upgrade for at least
3 year interval now.
Meanwhile and I don't mean to be mean.... lol.... But Apple
hasn't really changed much in OS-X, since it first launched
over a decade ago, as a bunch of pieces n parts (like Mc'D's
Chicken iNuggets) in a very Gnome sort of design GUI! ....not
that, that's bad, it's just that Gnome has come further than
OS X has. In fact I'd say both Gnome and KDE have topped it!
OS X still has some legacy fragments of Mac OS too. Along with
an Object Desktop UI riding piggy back, on at least two layers
of abstraction (Cocoa & HAL). Just so it can interact with
it's FreeBSD kernel. Which is actually like running Windows 95
UI on top of DOS, back in the old days of Windows!
Worse yet, is that MS was at least smart enough to make a
complete break with legacy Fat and Fat32 file systems. Unlike
Apple still stuck with a primarily Single Threaded legacy HFS+
file system. This is why iOS can't multi-task and run Live
Widgets. So even though iOS is rooted in OS X and it's file
system has been slightly upgraded, it's still not a modern
file system like NTFS. Meaning Windows 8 is a whole lot more
ready for the future than OS-X Mountain Lion on HFS+ will ever
be! ;-) [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
