PJ A scorched earth approach by Samsung.

Ok, so lets just follow this trial to its logical conclusion;
- Jury finds for Apple (seems obvious since Samsung defence is neutered)
- Appeals court supports ruling, not wanting to embarass the US courts any
further
- Samsung ordered to pay full profits for US sales of Galaxy range to Apple
and cease sale of their existing or future products in the US
- Samsung complies. Withdraws in protest, not only phones, but also sale of
TV's, hard drives, Memory chips, CPU's, Gorilla glass touch displays, Flash
memory, still/video Cameras, radios, motor car chip and other electronic
components, keyboards, washing machines, micowave ovens, fridges, etc,
and withdraws license agreements for any existing Samsung patents from US
firms (since they clearly don't pay anyway)
- Since all of Apple products are built in the east, and 80% of components
for iPhone/IPad are produced by Samsung themselves, and since the US
have lost the technology and know how to produce such components
themselves, Apple (and many other US businesses) are left without products.
- US economy completely collapses.
- Fire, Brimstone, War, Weeping, Wailing & general gnashing of teath.

All because of greed, bullying, protectionism and unfairness in the US court
and patent office which clearly have lost touch with the set of values they
should be championing.

Samsung would have to ask permission of this
judge to appeal anything now.

Recusal is so, so, so far fetched... don't
even dream about it.
