We've tried both Consumer Cellular and Jitterbug 'phones and service. She
looked at the handset C/C sent, and saw that it was no better (no easier to
read) than the Jitterbug Samsung she had been using, and sent it right back.
Since I'm cheap and Wife is vision-impaired, we find that her LG android and my
ancient Nokia, both TracFone, meet our needs the best of all we've tried.
The
only problem we've had was when I was busy not dying after all, in a hospital in
Provo, in a different area code (= roaming, double charge, although just 30
miles from home) — we couldn't use the hospital landline to call anyone we
knew (all in our home A/C or further), and neither of us could get out to get a
new airtime card. The kids were worried, to put it mildly. It didn't help that
she couldn't find where I kept the charger for her (then)
Jitterbug. --- --Bill. NAL: question the answers, especially mine. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
