Office to Become Fully Open XML Compliant (at last)

I find the blog article interesting for what it isn't saying. Microsoft Office 2013 is not going to be OOXML compatible by default.

I wonder if OOXML fully supports all of Microsoft's current features ...

And what "new" features of Office do I *actually* need?

Not to mention, OpenOffice reads and writes more Microsoft Office formats than
Microsoft itself. Want a PDF? That's an ADD-ON for microsoft, but a "Save
As" option for Open Office....

The only time I feel any limitiation in any of these Office formats is when I
start doing structured stuff, (think like taking the C preprocessor and
producing 10 programs from one source, depending on audience) which I usually
don't care about.
