And here's the page where Howard Mintz is live blogging, Live blog: Apple-Samsung
patent trial: Samsung calls its experts. It's only about to begin.
Here's yesterday, the witnesses that
rolled in some prior art. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Every smartphone I have seen wears a protective casing, normally fitted at
the point of purchase. After that, these phones/tablets become largely
indistinguishable at first glance. Even the Apple/Samsung logos are hidden in
most cases.
My question is: does the fact that their similar appearance is attributable to
the protective shell in any way affect the term "Dress code"? Clearly
the
protective shell was not designed by either Samsung or Apple, and disguises
any obvious physical attributes such as rounded corners.
Any thoughts?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Thanks Michael & PJ. This is a very clear and useful summary
for most people who don't understand this area. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
