So, do we now need court-appointed non-experts,
people who are certified to be of just "ordinary
skill", and never be allowed to grow beyond that?
The dependence on an imaginary person of ordinary
skill is strange, and the definition of "ordinary"
is fuzzy, even nonexistent.
Is there a case where we can read about a successful
invalidation due to obviousness? It seems very hard
to argue, and the claim "eveything is obvious after
the fact" and the vague definition of "ordinary skill"
makes me wonder how it would actually be possible to
ever show obviousness.

The tale is told that Eisenhower was shocked to discover that half the children
in the school system(s) were below average in intelligence.
