Not if all the claims cost the same to defend, had the plaintiff been diligent
and sued over the best half dozen claims he would have still won the five and
only lost one, then the costs would be the other way around.

Take the total value that Oracle was originally demanding (some number of
billions of dollars) and compare to the total damages they are likely to
receive. Which is the prevailing party according to this measurement?

The value of a claim is indirectly related to the actual cost of litigating it.
