We are not infrequently told by pj that journalists should check their facts and
do their research before spouting nonsense in 'print'. I examined the primary
source, the MS blog post where the logo was announced and shown for the first
time, before saying anything. The link is in the newspicks column. People who
use munged secondary sources can expect to be wrong on occasion.
To me in the original, the blue square looks bigger than the yellow one, even
though I know they are the same size from having measured their pixels in the
Gimp. That's what my comment was about. I didn't imagine that the op was drawing
conclusions from an actually distorted version of the logo. What would be the
point of doing that?
