Amen! I still wouldn't really know about "pinch to zoom" (and a few
other things) if it weren't for a friend. And I still (on my Galaxy Tab 2)
occasionally get a zooming effect from something I haven't figured out (single
finger trying to scroll the screen). Virtually ALL the "gestures" I
deal with on the Tab I had to learn -- they were NOT intuitive for me.
My suspicion is that those who claim these things are intuitive have learned
them from TV ads, friends, video games, etc. without even realizing it. However
many (not all) of these are extremely easy to remember after initial exposure to
the idea, more so than a lot of things we learn (including mouse usage).
