I didn't take his statement to indicate a lackluster career. I took it mean he
was a man on a mission. Frightening!
BTW, if he was actually looking at source code (and apparently bringing it into
the jury room, no less) I would think he *had* to have been doing independent
research. When it was just knowing that the phones in question used different
processors I figured there was at least a small chance that he already knew that
before being selected as a juror. But source code? No way! (And how did he
get his hands on Apple source code for the comparision he claimed he showed the
