Oracle's emergency Java patch brings sandbox bypass
The
quality assurance of Java releases seems to
have gone downhill after Oracle took
over. Have
they done anything but scare people away from their
Java platform
lately? Are any skilled programmers
still with the project, or has everyone left
the
boat? I still find Java quite useful at times, and
I still use it for some
of my teaching, but recent
events make me doubt its relevance and its
vitality.
